Integrity just ran headlong into Political Indifference, when the Senate passed the Trade Agreement. It will leave a mark and probably a scar. Anytime the Gov't passes something behind closed doors, there is nothing good in it for the American People.
No matter who the President is, he should not have carte blanche to make agreements without some sort of oversight. Boehner and McConnell just sold us down the river.
We have been sold down the river for a long, really long, time! Actually, the so-called president (actually the CEO of the municipal corporation that is our de facto ruler) has had that authority for 154 years. Abraham Lincoln assumed such on April 15, 1861, and no one has ever taken any step to revoke it. Lincoln became effectively our first king, and every president since has followed in his footsteps. Up until the last 15 years or so, most of them and the "congress" pretended to be operating as a republic.
