Show me by the pretenders. The ancient prophets prophesied with music, singing and dancing. "The Lord is my Rock, my strength and my song". John Lennon is the king of rock and roll. Other prophets include Bono, Roger Hodgson, Phil Collins, Steve Winwood, Alan Parsons, and Sting, among others. It is what I call "messianic rock". Hard rock is a satanic counterfeit of the rock of God.

My favorites are anything by Shel Silverstein plus a great dog song by the Mrs Ackroid band called Dachshunds with erections can't climb stairs. You tubes are available on most of Shel's songs and the dog song if you Google it.

Anything written by Robert Johnson, covered by Eric Clapton or Johnny Winter. "When you got a good friend" ( covered by both Clapton and winter) is one of my favorites but, any blues song with a good guitar rift does it for me.

I sure do miss Johnny....RIP my friend.

I love all kinds of music from heavy metal to opera. I guess my favorite would be the blues. Anything by Bessie Smith. The one that always brings a smile to my face is Bessie's "Your Husband Is Cheating on Us."
