The basic ideaolgy from which this country manifest is null and void.
Does the supreme court understand the premise of it's job;
FREEDOM! VIA the constitution.They consistently render decisions incongruent to the concept ; rulings inconsistent to democratic principles,and not compatible with fhe norms and mores' of a free society. They're decisions are more akin to a Plutocracy,and Mercantilisim; conservative decisions [tinged with lesgistlating from the bench ] billed and disguised as salvation of the nation,and has omnipotent connotations.Rulings that are insultingly remedial or should be, and should make and creditalble thinking humans want to "Bitch Slap"
[ Sitting Bull ] .The decisions handed down are exploitive of America's
intellectual disinegration. I.E. the phrase " AMERICA IS DUMBING DOWN" .The long listing that corroborates this hypothesis of an erosion
of democractic civil liberties - Anti Civil rights decision, Anti- Labor/Union rights decisions, Anti-Voting rights decisions, Anti - Privacy rights decisions can be further critqued in depth at : www.msnbc >msnbc >dont be fooledÂ… Some of the specific's or case's at point are :
AMNESTY V. CLAPPER
MUTUAL PHARMACEUTICAL CO. V. BASTLETT
UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS SOUTH WESTERN MEDICAL CENTER V. NASSAR
VANCE V. BALL
SALINIS V. TEXAS
and host of others that ardently lean toward this insurgence of an aristocractic/totaltarian rule.

Oh my. Despite you having using a lot of big words I'm not entirely clear what you are saying, nor which side of anything you are on.
Maybe I am the victim of a dumbed-down culture?

Then I must include myself in with Paul. The article, insofar as I can ascertain, has nothing to do with the title of this thread.

Perhaps you can enlighten me. I do not want to appear sarcastic nor rude, that is not my intent, just curious.

This is a democracy ,in a democracy majority rules.36 states agree with the same sex law,50 states,36 for constitutes a majority.The constitution is of the,the constitution is by the people and for the people.Why then,what then would the supreme court be possibly leaning toward a decision that the people has already rendered their opinion about, They could be doing naught but reveling in their SUPREMENESS.Which evidently you have not been paying attention to whats been going on.THE LAW IS WHAT HIGHNESES SAY IT IS.
not what " WE THE PEOPLE " say it is,there the supreme court is usurping the constitution.Also assuming a totaltarian govern, the likes of people we are confrontational with

Of your supposed 36 states that are according to you going along with same sex marriage were actually voted in by the people as opposed to being shoved down their collective throats by liberal judges who ruled against the citizens. I know there are a number of states that voted against same sex marriage and liberal judges overturned the voters mandate and made it opposite of the voters request. In Illinois the house voted for same sex marriage but at no time in these recent years have they put this up for a vote to the people of Illinois and in other states liberal judges overruled the peoples vote.
