I just finished 14,616 days (forty years) in AA, but who is counting? My experiences afforded me the opportunity to stop being so critical of others.
Congratulations Uncle D! That's a wonderful accomplishment, and I congratulate you for taking control of your own life. What a great example for others.

Magnificent feat. Congratulations! My dad has 31 years. I am 44 so AA is almost in my genes. Loved going to meetings with my dad: the people were so wonderful. Sorry, but I have a question: is this okay tradition-wise?

Going places with your dad is a great tradition. So is learning early that without a force greater than yourself, you are powerless and lack the strength to fight off all evil and temptation. Hopefully, your dad's experiences helped keep you from that pitfall.
