PRAYER FOR APRIL1, 2015 Sacrifices

When I woke up yesterday morning my arthritis was particularly painful and my fingers wouldn't bend. Even two warm wax treatments didn't help. I was wandering around the house feeling sorry for myself when SWMBO told me to stop acting like a grumpy old man, just get on with the day, and COPE WITH IT. She reminded me of all the sacrifices everyone makes on a daily basis just to do what needs to be done.
Think of the ultimate sacrifice God made by giving His prime creation free will. He gave us a set of rules to live by, but allowed us to decide not to obey them. God knew that we would sin, and He wanted us with Him for all eternity. From the beginning He planned to sacrifice His only begotten Son, to save those who believed in Him so we could be with Our Father throughout eternity. This Sunday we celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, His rebirth from the grave. God always knew what Jesus would have to endure toward that end- to sacrifice Himself for US. All the things we should do to live the life he directs are minute in comparison, yet we cannot even do those without complaining. Following God's law should be a joyful concept, yet we often look on it as a major burden.

Almighty God- we thank Thee for Thy blessings and the gifts you have bestowed upon us. We celebrate the Resurrection of Thy Son , who was sacrificed for our eternal life. We humbly ask for forgiveness for our sins and our unwillingness to sacrifice some of our thoughts and time toward glorifying Thy Name. This we ask in Jesus name. AMEN.

Thank you, AuntiE. With respect to Ranger7374, I had been following that thread. I do not care to review it, here.

WOW! Pointy ears, a big black nose and a smile. Well, the smile I'd go along with, not sure about those ears and that nose.

Yes, I guess those dark glasses are what threw me off as to not immediately knowing it was you.

If I may I would like to add agreement to AuntiE's post.
There is no doubt that these are uncertain times not just in America but the world. All of us have very strong opinions and concerns about the welfare and safety of our freedoms.

At the beginning of this page we decided to make it a prayer page and a page where we could share testimonies, prayer needs, jokes, and fun times. It would seem that we have strayed from our intended purpose.

Please don't get me wrong, we do need to pray for our country and our leaders. However, we can't pray and condemn at the same time.

Remember, God is all knowing, He is always, always, always supportive of what is right, good, and according to His will.

Let us remember we are not pushovers by " Just Praying." We are speaking to Almighty God who is in control. Please don't take this the wrong way. If you will notice, while we were praying and keeping the page for its intended use, we were growing a membership role and in number of pages. We have a thread on the opp that has grown to over 900 pages with people just saying one or two silly words.

We are attempting to do Business for God and we have stayed at 500 pages for a long long time. Numbers don't mean a whole lot, but sometimes they do deliver a mesage. God Bless America.

You might say, the interest in this site had really taken a 'back seat.' But now, it has picked up again. No need to wonder why.

I'm done with the topic of persecution or discrimination. I apologize to anyone who read my last post!

I really don't know, but would suspect the need to get in touch with administration to go forward with the idea.

I have requested through the administration to delete my topic entitled, "Is it bigotry, discrimination or religious persecution"

The insults I received from a member I will not mention, brought this on.

I am asking that my friends in Christ here, remove this topic that I created. I do not intend to spread hate, but rather debate in an honorable and responsible way. That idiot just got on my last nerve. I let the first insult slide but I will not accept additional insults and turn a basic intelligent debate into a mud slinging contest.

I apologize to all of you who read my statement against such an idiot. Thank you.

I went there and put my 2 cents in. I have seen where Administration apparently will remove a person who becomes obnoxiously offensive. Tell them who, what thread and page.

No, I want the whole topic removed. That topic could possibly incite a riot. I didn't realize how polarized we as a nation have become.

It is a legitimate question, nothing to be ashamed of. the LGBTQ activists have done the same thing to a number of my similar topics in an effort to drive us underground. why can't there be a civil conversation. I have read all of your post and others in your threat up to this morning, and will get back to it shortly. So far it seems that is the "progressive activists causing the trouble, not those who are able to put out a logical presentation on either side. It is a shame to mule the thoughtful conversations and let the pigs and hate mongers win the discussion. They use that tactic incessantly.

I am ashamed to admit, I was overly aggressive on my last statement on that topic. The reason is, i do not accept that kind of street backlash, fought on the under the belt, cheap shot approach at debate. I try to remain intellectual without reverting to street talk.

And when the conversation turned to a personal attack, I have to shut that down. It is only when conversations like that turn personal, that it is followed by human action. It is right to support and be passionate about your view point or belief. There is nothing wrong with that. And when speaking on subject matter, the more passionate the better the debate.

But when the debate becomes personal, that is when war begins. For example, if we were to study all the reasons men in the old west would get into a gunfight, it would be over pride, where some one personally insults not the principle, but the person. This is where the debate turns ugly. And if the group in question, takes every word to heart, then there is a deep psychological problem with that group. For every group in the entire world has been ridiculed in one form or another and it has never turned personal because the people of that group are mature and take criticism or two.

I would love to continue the conversation, without it becoming personal.

Every conversation on the OPP I have had was never personal, except the prayers on the prayer topics. I enjoy praying for all of us. And for 150 days of Prayer with the Psalms and with Proverbs continuing I really enjoy it.

But with how polarized that particular group has become, sad to say, they may take up arms against us Christians, and I pray and hope it never comes to that.

NEVER back down!!!!

STAND your ground!!!

Christ is Lord!

A Pastor once told me that if I've stirred up a hornet's nest by defending the moral high ground or what is written in the Gospel then JOB WELL DONE!!!

Never let evil prevail by backing away when things get a little rough.....you did a GREAT job on that thread and the people who agree with you FAR outweigh those who want it as well as your supporters gone! That's how evil takes charge.
