I have supported you since you first entered politics in Florida.

I find it difficult to believe that you are unaware of the fact that you are not a natural born citizen of the USA, and are therefore not eligible for the office of president.

I believe that you could well serve the nation in any number of high level cabinet or advisory posts in DC. Or by continuing as a senator .

If you continue to try to gain the republican nomination for president while knowing you are ineligible, I will lose my respect for you.

I am sending this same message to Senator Cruz, and I hope both of you will reply.

I will be interested in their reply as well as those on OPP as well. The left will of course have no room to talk at all as their POTUS is not a natural born citizen as well. I believe that Hillsdale College has some professors that could enlighten all on the subject of natural born citizen.

You are in error. Both are eligible to be President and the courts will affirm the fact if needed.

If you would study the law, they are both natural born citizens. Rubio first of all was actually born in Miami fl. So don't know why anyone questions him. Even though his parents were not born here, he was automatically making him a natural born citizen. Cruz' mother is a U.S. citizen by birth making him a natural born citizen, although personally I think that law should be changed so that a president is actually born in America.

Google the following and do some studying. It will tell the reasons and the whys of the "natural born citizen" terminology.

It doesn't matter. There have been 6 other presidents since constitution written who have had one parent born outside of USA and Andrew jacksons parents were both born in Ireland. Also the first 9 presidents of USA were not born in USA. Tyler was the first. A person either has to be physically born in USA or have a parent who was born and lived in country.

The Supreme Court has already confirmed that both ARE INELIGIBLE when they defined natural born citizen as a person born in the U.S. of TWO U.S. citizen parents, in an 1875 case.

This is a legal binding decision that cannot be overturned by a superior court because THERE IS NO SUPERIOR COURT

People born in the USA without either parent being a citizen have been considered citizens. People born in other countries to parents who were citizens have been considered citizens. Anyone born with one parent a citizen has been considered a citizen. Both Rubio and Cruz have been considered citizens by government agencies their whole lives. None of this will change because if your definition is enforced millions will have their citizenship taken from them and that will not happen, no matter how much you wish it.
