Today in History Captain John Hazelwood drank himself into history when he allowed an uncertified officer to take the helm of the Exxon Valdez. I guess he should have been more careful about his designated driver.

.....tragic but seemingly true. It would seem he chose a designated driver a little late in the game, wouldn't it.

I truly appreciate your "Today in History" posts, Loki.
My history skills are not the very best, and I always learn something from you. And there's usually, as today, some wit tossed in for good measure.

Thanks!

As I am slightly cranky, I have one.

Today, in current 2015 history, a gentleman backed into Aunti's car and trashed her bumper, left front head light and, until a mechanic sees it, who knows what else. Oh, in addition, it is a good thing it was not serious as I have yet to be able to reach my supposed loving spouse.

Thank you for your attention to this current history fact. I feel better having vented. :hunf: :hunf:

So sorry to hear about your fender-bender AuntiE. Glad it is just a major annoyance and didn't cause any damage to the important part...you!

Angst? When did you start driving an import? Is that the new Volkswagen?

I have been driving an import. Angst and my car, both, start with the same letter. Aunti is very ANGRY with her spouse.

Well, at least you are not angstry. Seriously, I am glad there were no personal injuries. I have been badly hurt in 2 car accidents, and I wasn't even driving in the second one. By badly, I mean hospitalization.

I was a little rattled, not physically, but because it happened. I could be in the hospital and it would go unnoticed by the piece of garbage, to whom I am married. It took him over three and a half hours to respond to my message. :hunf: :hunf: :hunf: :hunf: :

I know...I know. I do things that irritate him......R A R E L Y

I hate to hear about your car Aunti! It can be repaired, or replaced. YOU CAN'T!! Thankful for no injuries to you, or your car's assailant!
I am also thankful that UncleE had 3 1/2 hours of peace!
