drivers licence for illegals is weird. I do favor auto insurance for illegals who are driving. Several years back some partying illegals backed over the front of my car that was parked. The next day we exchanged info and by golly he had insurance that fixed my car.

There is, or used to be, something called an "International license." It is issued in your home country, but cannot be used to drive there. It is strictly for use in foreign countries that recognize it. You were required to carry all necessary insurance before it was valid. That seems like a much better solution than a US state drivers license that will undoubtedly be used for fraudulent purposes. In other words, a Mexican would have to obtain this license in Mexico, along with insurance, before the US would recognize it. It also clearly identifies the bearer as a non-citizen.

If we keep our citizens, to the standard of requiring them to have licenses, then we must also require the aliens to have licenceses.

Should an alien, be unlawful, therefore be an illegal alien, then.the alien must return to their country of origin. This is simple....

Does a judge issue an unlawful citizen a license, when that citizen is stopped, for a traffic violation, and happens to not have a drivers license?

No. The judge then punishes the accused when it has been proved in a court of law, that the accused operated the motor vechile unlawfully. Is this racist? Since it is considered upholding the law, then the same should be applied to the illegal.

Unless the visa held stipulates different, the drivers license issue should be within the jurisdiction of the state, issuing the license. In other words, it is not up to the federal goverent to issue drivers licenses, but up to the state issuing the license.

But for the states to recognize the licenses issued to such individuals, the license should be monitored by the department of transportation, and checked by the justice department, so that the issuing states license can be recognized in all 50 states.

In no way form or shape should a license be issued to a fugitive or illegal by any means.
