Today Alabama, tomorrow the world!

Ben Carson: Being gay is a choice — just look at prison

'A lot of people who go into prison go into prison straight, and when they come out, they're gay,' possible 2016 GOP candidate says

Ben Carson, a retired neurosurgeon and possible 2016 Republican presidential candidate, said Wednesday he believes homosexuality is a choice -- and that prison is proof --

"A lot of people who go into prison go into prison straight," Carson said in an interview with CNN Wednesday. "And when they come out, they're gay. So, did something happen while they were in there? Ask yourself that question."

Hey you liberal homos and homo wannabees, "Ask yourself that question."

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — Alabama's stand against same-sex marriage regained ground Wednesday after the state's highest court ruled that its ban remains legal, despite federal court pressure to begin issuing licenses to gays and lesbians. But advocates said they're not giving up either — and that the justices in Montgomery will find themselves on history's losing side.

Wake up America be right, screw the consequences! Obama is wrong, we are right!

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us?

The courts are basing their declaration of bans on homosexual marriage rights unconstitutional on The Fourteenth Amendment plus, I am sure, others. Does anyone think that the people who proposed, discussed and ratified The Constitution, The Fourteenth Amendment or any others for that matter would have does so had they thought they would be used to legalize homosexual marriages?
If you do, please let me know.

I remember this same logic being used to prohibit Mixed race marriages.

Come on Rock. Carson quoted no statistics or studies or evidence of any kind when he made that off-the-cuff remark. Which surprises me since he is a neurosurgeon whose life work has been science-based. I think it made him look silly, uninformed and unprepared.

Well roderick, I don't believe anyone in any previous century or for any reason whatsoever, could have envisioned same-sex marriage EVER being an issue! I mean, America has so devolved and deteriorated since it was founded, it defies human understanding. in the 18th century, Americans fought against tyranny of evil men. In the 21st, they have voted it in and applaud it for God's sake!

It once again is coming down to state rights v. the fed's ability to circumvent them by laws they force on "We The People"!

Look at this...

"The Amendment 774 of 2006, also known as Alabama Sanctity of Marriage Amendment, is an amendment to the Alabama Constitution that makes it unconstitutional for the state to recognize or perform same-sex marriages or civil unions. The referendum was approved by 81% of the voters."

"...resistance in Alabama following a January decision by a U.S. district court invalidating Alabama’s ban on gay marriage.

Seems like some pretty heavy-handed governing to me.

It's not about equal protection under the Constitution as Queen Obama and Hellaree Spinster would have us to believe. It is a direct attack on God, the sanctity of marriage, the family and, the rights of the majority to decide right and wrong for themselves.

The US Government's OVERREACH is far exceeding its grasp!

I think your comment is an inconsequential red herring. There are many, many applications of constitutional law that the original framers of The Constitution would have had no cultural understanding of because the issue didn't exist at the time or understanding changed.

That's the beauty of The Constitution - it's a solid basis upon which to build and through which to interpret. It didn't need to be so narrowly specific to time and place to remain useful and valid (kind of like the Bible.)

Well howdy Paul, I'm surprised you would take such a radical opposing view.

I think you and I have discussed this before and nothing has changed.

So you don't believe in God but, you do believe in the homo gene? Okeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Dokeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee and, you have some science-based facts you wish to share with the world today?

Something happens to a man when he is used in the same capacity as a woman JMHO. They cease to talk, they can only lisp. They cease to be strong and request that females open doors for them. They lose their physical agility and prowess and can only become activists for their perverted cause, not defenders of American freedom.

They vote democrat...

Do you suppose they get that homo gene rectally? I think the federal government should conduct a congressional inquiry. They are the ones closest to the subject since the majority of US politicians have their heads so firmly entrenched in their arses!

Happy Thursday Rock!

I'm going to make you do a little reading to find the science-based facts...take a look at this excellent article addressing Carson's statements. It references current science on the topic at hand.

And I'm not certain how you've come to the conclusion I do not believe in God. I'm pretty certain I've never said that at all. I don't believe in what I perceive of as many people's idea of and angry, awful God of retribution, that's for sure!
