On this day in 1997, Dolly the Sheep became the first Liberal (er, mammal ) to be cloned from an adult cell. The same year, another team cloned a Rhesus monkey, thereby making history once more with the first Liberal politician.

The latter was a serious error in judgment. We are now overrun with them.
