Pastor Scott Lively is the head of Abiding Truths Ministry in Springfield, Massachusetts and is known around the world for his notorious work successfully advocating for anti-LGBT laws in Uganda that could send LGBT people to prison for life. In fact, Lively has traveled the world over presenting himself as an expert on LGBT issues, urging lawmakers to crack down on LGBT rights and the right of free expression.

In 2007, Lively wrote in "Letter to the Russian People," "Homosexuality is a personality disorder that involves various often dangerous sexual addictions and aggressive anti-social impulses."

And this week, while he awaited his fate at his crimes against humanity trial, Lively told Trunews that homosexuality should be considered “more offensive” than mass killings, because gay people caused the Great Flood that wiped out the human race (technically, God did, and technically there is no evidence of that actually occurring, but who’s counting?).

So here is the question: if he is convicted of "crimes against humanity" should he be executed or simply imprisoned with the gays he helped to imprison? What would Christ do?

Homosexuality is offensive, repulsive, and is in my opinion a mental disorder. Therefore, I do not agree with him being tried for voicing his opinions. And if he is tried and found guilty...what are we saying, that a person has no right to speak out about something they find morally wrong? In my opinion, you should be able to write letters or give talks on subject that you are knowledgeable, it is up to the audience to accept the position or ignore it. He is not yelling fire in a theatre nor is he asking a nation or society to kill anyone....he is just stating that homosexual behavior is against his religion and he finds them repulsive and simply wrong.

He can only be required to pay damages if he loses the case.

Gay rights is a political movement. Opposing it is also political. When did politics become a crime in the US?

He was one of the principle architects of Ugandas "Kill Gays Law." Freedom of Speech is one thing orchestrating genocide is another. The ultimate question comes down to by what right do you (Christians) have to force others to bend to your view. Its one thing to be a bigot and another to force people to submit to your bigotry.

What goes around comes around. It's not a good idea to murder people if you don't want the same to happen to you.

Did he? I know what Christians do but I never heard Christ preach hate so I have to wonder if it's Christians who weren't paying attention...

I am at a disadvantage in this discussion. I have no idea what Christians do or what Christ preached. I do however, know what my faith teaches.

To me and mine, homosexual behavior is wrong. It goes against the teachings of my God. Therefore, I do not engage in the behavior. I am not responsible for your behavior that is your choice.

Calling for the death of anyone based upon your belief system is unacceptable to me. As is forcing Gay Pride Parades on a community which does not want them. Children should not have to witness public displays. Leave my children alone.

The solution seems simple to me. Keep your private life private. I won't ask you to accept my beliefs and don't ask me to accept yours. It seems to me, perhaps, the gay community is trying to convince themselves their behavior is correct. Why else would you care so much what others think? I really don't care what others think of my beliefs.

It seems the only groups of people to be able to speak out without reprisal are the gays and Muslims. If any Christian states his belief he/ she is automatically raked over the coals and put on trial. This only makes the case that the Bible is true stronger. JESUS told us, " they persecuted ME, surely they will persecute you". Every day the more the left tries to prove the Bible wrong, the more it's proven spot on.

And the Kill Gay Laws, sorry I am not familiar with any such laws. I know that many countries are opposed to homosexuals and see them as perversion.

You assume that I am a Christian..... and second you assume that I am saying something that has not been part of thoughts and laws for the past 4 thousand years. It is not my laws nor is it my will if they thrive or are killed. They have time to change their ways, and if they elect not to, well not really my problem is it?

I do not ask you or anyone to conform or appreciate my way of life.....why do you homosexuals demand that I be tolerate of you? Keep your prevision to yourself, along with your diseases and I will not speak against you. Go to bakeries or laundries, restaurants, theatre and such run and operated for people that are sick...... do not demand that Christians or even those who just can not appreciate your life to step down into the filth of your perversion.

The true Christian, I believe, has entered into a phase that they will be killed for believing in Jesus, I believe that the world is fulfilling the prophesy of the beginning of the end days. I see too many Christian being killed now.... and I think that the number of deaths for their beliefs will become very common place in the near future. As a Jew, I welcome these times....it means that the Messiah will come sooner than later.
