Rep. Elijah Cummings, the ranking Democrat on the House Oversight Committee investigating The IRS for targeting conservative and tea party groups applying for non-profit status, flat out stated ( I do not want to hear what Lois Lerner knows about the IRS scandal ). What? Excuse me! To him, it is more important to be careful to respect the constitutional rights of every witness who comes before this committee.
I near fell out of my chair. Let me see if I got this right. Please someone, correct me, if I have not?
Cummings is charged with investigating, who, and or why, was the IRS, targeting for extra screening, conservative groups asking for non-profit status. And being in that oversight committee, he, does not want to hear, from a major witness in this investigation. Let me repeat, he does not want to hear testimony, from a major witness.
In creditable. So what the hell is he doing on that committee in the first place? And why is it , not one member of the House Oversight Committee, called him out on this? Why hasn't, any member of the government done so? I can not even find a mention off this in a news paper, or on a radio talk show, or TV station anywhere.
And our idiotic government can't figure out why it is not trusted. Daaaaaaaaa.
I my opinion, this is yet another instance ( just one among many ) whereby our government, has lost its collective common sense.
Cummings should be removed from this committee immediately, and replace him with someone that will do his or her job. Talk about political aspects of this matter. This is so far out in left field. And the obvious CYA of this, stinks like last weeks garbage can fish. God help us all from fools and stupid people. RETW

That whole hearing yesterday was a sham. The democrats sucked up to the head of the irs, and stalled with their flatteries, wasting valuable time so they wouldn't have to ask a tough question. The republicans did ask tough questions, much to the dismay of the democrats, who are trying to shove all this under the rug.
