Disgraced anti-gun Attorney General Eric Holder is calling it quits, but Obama's pick to replace him is Loretta Lynch, coming straight from the gun control bastion of New York City.
Okay, here we go again. While Second Amendment supporters have been urging their Senators to ask Ms. Lynch some tough questions concerning her positions on our right to keep-and-bear arms, and to oppose her if she shows any sign of sharing Holder's anti-gun views or continuing his anti-gun policies, this topic, apparently, was not the main focus of Lynch's confirmation process.
Loretta Lynch, the U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of New York, is nothing but another Obama hand-picked radical. On the hot seat last week, as part of her confirmation process for U.S. attorney general, replacing outgoing AG Eric Holder, Lynch conveniently dodged questions from lawmakers about the DOJ's role in the IRS targeting scandal, arguing that since she hadn't been briefed, she couldn't comment.
According to an e-mail from the Senate Conservatives Fund: "When asked by U.S. Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL) if she thought the president's executive amnesty was 'legal and constitutional,' Lynch said that she did. Lynch also told Sessions that she believes illegal aliens have a 'right' to work in the United States, just as much as any American citizen."
Can you believe that? Lynch believes that Obama's executive amnesty is "legal and constitutional?" Illegals have a right to work, just as much as any American citizen?
"Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) asked Lynch to identify the limits of executive power regarding unilateral amnesty, the investigation of illegal targeting of conservative groups by the IRS, and the use of drones on American citizens. Each time, Lynch refused to identity any limits on the president's power.
"After the confirmation hearing, Cruz said that it is 'profoundly dangerous to have an attorney general, who by her own testimony is prepared to rubber stamp unconstitutional conduct by the president."
According to an article in Townhall, "After hours of testimony this week from witnesses and questions from lawmakers sitting on the Senate Judiciary Committee, Attorney General Nominee Loretta Lynch has passed her first test on the way to becoming America's top law enforcement officer (despite justifying President Obama's executive action on illegal immigration and saying everyone in America has a right to work, regardless of how they got here)."
There's more, however, to the Lynch story than meets the everyday eye. The Dems are definitely determined to put Lynch into Holder's former position, so they must have ulterior motives.
Durning the second confirmation hearing, not only were witnesses who dared to point out current problems inside the Department of Justice scolded by Democrat Senator Sheldon Whitehouse, they were also derided for criticizing Holder. Whitehouse said it was unjust the sitting attorney general wasn't in the room to defend himself against the charges. According to the Townhall article, Whitehouse "even went so far as to say witness criticisms of DOJ policies and personnel simply represented 'Fox News soundbites' and 'conspiracy theories.'"
Typical Liberal finger-pointing, side-stepping, and fencing tactics. But, what exactly are they hiding? Why is Obama and his radical progressive Dem-rat following so determined to put Lynch into Holder's former place as Attorney General?
I highly suggest that you check out the link below for a cold, hard look at what we'll be up against if this woman becomes our next Attorney General. Now that Lynch's nomination hearings are over, lawmakers will submit additional questions in writing and are expected to vote on her confirmation next month.
Once you read it, the big picture will hit you. But, don't be surprised.
