I feel for people who are just trying to get better.
Here's my.take on how to keep current citizens satisfied while giving immigrants a way to become citizens.
Our national debt is currently $150,000 (est) per person. Anyone wishing to gain the benefits of citizenship simply sign a promissory note for.$150K payable to our treasury.
Since a majority of aliens send earnings back to where they came from, this would be OK as long as they pay on the note.
If they default on the note, they are put on a list for deportation, same as foreclosure except they get the boot.
There are too many aliens taking the benefits without paying for them.
The payment due would be about $450 a month, certainly

Great idea, Douglas, but first "WE" have to boot-out the current administration because "making" money is not part of the liberal progressive package. Tax and spend and regulate is the liberal progressive format; now and forever!!!

without the fence how would one even know who to collect from.. the way it is now,,one would have to catch the little criminals,,,collect the $150,000 at that time (in advance).... if not able to pay up GET A ROPE...problem solved.... I would like to see the day when illegal means ILLEGAL PERIOD..WHEN FELONS ARE CRIMINALS,,, NOT UNDOCUMENTED ALIENS((CRIMINALS))...SOMEONE HAS TAKEN THE CRIME OUT OF CRIME"S (( AGAINST AMERICA )) I might have missed something, what is your interpatation of crime ????????????????

There must be a way to enter the USA to become a citizen, my grandfather did it on Elis Island. The only rule I know of and I like is for them to say the pledge in English.

It should be a crime to send money back to their home countries unless taxes are paid first. That would slow down illegal in a hurry.

Douglas Graham, lets send them back and let them FIX their own Countries and send every Congressman who want s Amnesty for people who have broken our laws stolen our jobs and brought Disease's we haven't had for 50 years and murdered over 20,000 Americans go with them, mandatory.

I do not understand how the pres. can just tell the angency's of government to just not obey the laws or enforce the law..is this not corruption at the least..what makes the 4-500 law makers (barf) so willing to kiss a traitors ass...the senate is all lawyers.. the house is made up of business mogals could there be a better recipe for disaster,,,i think not...one of these days we the people will rise up, I find it hard to belive that our troops will turn on their own family's.. after what this pres. has done to them and their family's for their service.. i'm thinking we the people are going to have to take this country back and it will not be pretty, but Obama lives in denial,,because it the " right thing to do "
