The "right" here on OPP love to speak of Democrats and those of us who support freedom of choice as "fascists" asserting that WE are the ones who support fascism.

A recent story in a local paper reminded me of the clear resemblance of another trend from the MAGA GOP that is reminiscent of the blatant fascism of Hitler's Germany. And it isn't just here in upstate NY.

Probably no one here is old enough to remember the Nazi book burnings by the German Student Union.

Ah, the ones using "the N word" - you're right there are those who object to some of the classics. I disagree that any book that can teach a good lesson should be banned. But I hope that most people in the C side are teaching their children, white or black or brown or purple, not to use it in everyday speech.

What happened in Germany has no relation to restricting books to age appropriate for children. Letting them view porn or soft porn is a form of child abuse.

Thank you. Here in Florida the democrats and pervs (synonymous) lied about bills passed and books banned. We don't look at this so called book banning as banning. We look at it as protecting children from evil. Plain and simple.

I would hope ”most people” in the black community would teach their children not to use it, which you can hear them doing frequently.

I would hope ”most” black musicians would stop using it in their songs.

I would wager those who believed it was a ban had not the talent nor brains to take the time to read the Florida bill. It is so much easier to let the media tell them what it says.

yep. The lying Demopervs called it the don't say Gay bill and of course the word gay was never in the bill. Why aren't the demopervs ever asked, "Why would you want your elementary age grandkid to be taught about anal sex."
