Peter best not dip your toes in the theological waters if you are not a believer.
Dr Barbra Brown Taylor is a very accomplished person but I personally do not believe in women pastors and she will not condemn homosexuality as a sin .
I do not want to take away from her successes but if she will not take a stand on this issue then I would be suspicious of anything she preaches.

Agreed,any person leading a church claiming to be Christian can not condone obortions,same sex marriage,or the gay trans movement as God made it very clear how He feels about those things in His word. To be ok with what God calls an abomination as He did in all three of those issues and not call them a sin is an unqualifier by Biblical standards. Does God still love them? Yes but He's Holy and hates sin. Do you think these people are going to slide on these issues if they don't repent and try to change their behavior? No they won't. You are not forgiven without repenting and turning away from your sin. Sin is a daily struggle for all of us but you don't give in to it.

Jesus was crucified by Roman pagans.
Jewish law at that time prohibited capital punishment,

The Roman prelate, Pontius Pilate, questioned the accused and found no fault in him.
But the Jews were about to raise hell if he refused, so, in order to prevent that and keep the peace,

washed his hands of the whole affair.

And, this says nothing of the fact that Jesus sacrifice on the cross and His resurrection was pre-ordained.
Jesus knew what He had to do and that He would suffer immensely.

And how are we doing that? We aren't stopping you from thinking how you want to think or believing how you want to believe. You have the same rights as anyone else. The only thing you are prevented from--or should be prevented from--is extending your religious beliefs over everyone irrespective of how they believe.

This country isn't a theocracy and was never intended to be. Women have every right to control their bodies. Homosexuals to be without any interference from you. The same goes for anyone who is trans. What your bible says is fine for you. Follow it to your heart's content. But don't sit there and try to extend what it says over anyone; not unless you want serious pushback from us by every means that is legally possible.
