Keep it clean, for now and forever..

Exploiters have been intent on destruction of our environment for generations.. they never stop, this is once again an attempt to bring destruction not only to the Boundary Waters, and the national park, but also to the water table serving millions of people via the great lakes and the water shed in the Minnesota arrowhead.. The mining permit has been refused several times but the owners bring appeal again and again.. they want a verbal not written contract to stand, one look at the South American destruction they created and walked away from should be more than enough to put a final end to the exploitation they intend for the wilderness area and the great lakes watershed..

An abundant amount of clean water makes the Boundary Waters like no other place in the country!

But there is a dangerous new bill in Congress that could pollute our water and ruin this national treasure.

Right now, the Boundary Waters needs you.

Please contact your U.S. Representative and ask them to oppose H.R. 3195. Tell them to keep sulfide mining away from the Boundary Waters!

H.R. 3195 would overturn a 20-year ban on sulfide mining near the Boundary Waters. Specifically, it would reinstate mineral rights and leases to corporations like Twin Metals, which has proposed a copper-sulfide mine at the edge of the Boundary Waters. This would be a devastating setback for clean water and the Boundary Waters.

You can make a difference!

Please take a moment to email your U.S. Representative now and urge them to VOTE NO on H.R. 3195!

Exploiters have been intent on destruction of our ... (show quote)

That bill doesn’t sound good. Surely there are other places they could mine that wouldn’t have such a devastating effect.
