What strings were attached to the money?

The 14 states that turned down federal money for groceries for children for 3 reasons. The govenors of those states had, philosophical differences with the government on help for the poor. They also said they had aging computers that would discourage them from providing food for children. The third reason is that those governors thought and felt ok with families not having enough food. There seem to be no strings. No one mentioned anything about strings that I’ve found but someone else may know differently. In AL specifically the HHS said it was to difficult to do the paperwork in the six months that were Alloted.

"Prosecutors for the State of New York in their opening statement drew a direct line between the October 2016 “Access Hollywood” leaked audio and Donald Trump’s alleged “hush money” payoff to two women, including the adult film actress Stormy Daniels, telling the jury it was “election fraud, pure and simple.”

Legal experts are dissecting the prosecution’s opening argument. Professor of law, MSNBC contributor and former FBI General Counsel Andrew Weissmann summed it up, saying New York District Attorney Alvin Bragg “squarely places the NY criminal trial in the election interference/corruption bucket– exactly what the DC and GA indictments allege, just 4 years later.”

“And the NY alleged ‘cover up’ is reminiscent of the two MAL [Mar-a-Lago] alleged obstruction schemes post-presidency, to keep prosecutors from uncovering evidence of that scheme,” Weissmann added.

Prosecutor Matthew Colangelo late Monday morning in his 45-minute opening argument told jurors, “This case is about criminal conspiracy and a cover up,” according to MSNBC’s Joyce Vance."

Myself: Nothing in this is "weaponizing" the judicial system in spite of the numerous false claims of such seen in this forum and in the conservative media. It is simply a straightforward approach to a criminal complaint, nothing more, nothing less. America is founded on the principal of "No Man is Above the Law." When a man, such as trump, sets himself above the law, which is how he has run his businesses most of his life, he is deliberately behaving in an un-American way.

Alvin Bragg avoided the statute of limitations by bootstrapping minor misdemeanors onto a Federal crime. Problem is, there is no Federal Crime. Bragg has no jurisdiction to prosecute a Federal matter. The two entities that do, the DOJ and the FEC, both declined prosecution because they ruled there was no crime. Even if this rigged trial results in a guilty verdict, it will be vacated on appeal.
Jonathan Turley, a law professor at George Washington University who has testified on Constitutional matter numerous times, says the trial is a farce. So does Liberal Law professor Alan Dershowitz who at age 28 became the youngest full professor of law at Harvard. Bragg has no case, and this would never have even been brought to trial anywhere but Manhattan because it is a legal sieve.
