It would appear you are unaware that many churches, of multiple denominations, offer after service refreshments and sometimes a meal.

As I have not had to encounter your four footer, it is undetermined my status on said animal.
Back to decline in church membership. When church membership is discussed, it is, predominantly about the mainstream denominations. Little attention is paid to the growth among non affiliated churches or the growth in home based churches where several families gather for Bible study and worship.
