One hears a lot about how Democrats are destroying the country and that President Biden is an obvious disaster. What you don’t hear are specifics. What are Democrats specifically doing that’s destroying the country? What specifically has Biden done that’s an obvious disaster?

Are Democrats destroying the economy? Hmmm, record employment doesn’t seem destructive. When Trump left office there were 170,000 fewer manufacturing jobs than when he entered The White House. Over 800,000 manufacturing jobs have been created under Biden’s leadership. That doesn’t seem like a disaster.

You could point at the border and call that a disaster. Okay, but the mess at the border was decades in the making. In 2013 the Senate passed a bipartisan immigration reform bill. The Republican led House refused to even bring the bill to the floor. Under Trump Republicans had four years to pass an immigration reform bill and they didn’t do it. The immigration laws we have today were passed by politicians beholden to The Donor Class which wanted cheap labor. Anger toward immigrants is misdirected, you should direct your anger toward fat cat donors and the politicians that serviced the interests of those donors.

Mad about inflation? Yeah sure, but remember the current rise in inflation is a worldwide event and the US is doing much better than the vast majority of other countries. The average inflation rate internationally is 6.5%. The current US inflation rate is 3.2%. It appears that the Democrat’s Inflation Reduction Act is working. Doesn’t sound like destruction to me.

I could go on, but the point is that simply saying that Democrats are destroying the country is just bumpersticker bullshit. Give me specifics, give me evidence to back up your assertion. Oh, I forgot, Republicans don’t really deal with evidence, they’re more into feelings.

Incredibly, 75 percent of those 303,000 new jobs actually qualified as second jobs.

Thus, according to Lobue, “Democrats’ ‘good news’ is just you having to work longer and harder to survive.”

For that, of course, we may thank several years of runaway inflation.

Furthermore, government jobs make up nearly 25 percent of the total jobs added in March.

The DEI thing, is ALL on democrats. The no bail policies letting hard core criminals out to prey on more people is ALL on democrats.
I detest both parties, but, by far, the democrats are worse in my opinion.

You are beginning to sound discouraged. I still agree with what George Corley Wallace said in 1968, “There is not a nickels worth of difference between a Democrat and a Republican.” I cannot show what anyone will call hard facts but under Biden’s Presidency I see that China after two centuries of European dominance there is finally returning to a leadership roll again. The history of China is one of leadership and stagnation repeated again and again over the centuries. A fact that China does not meet with American leaders who go but are able to only meet with second tier leaders should sort of tell us that a rising world power does not have high regard for America. The coalescence of the new BRICS union at this point in history will hopefully not affect your life or my life but will affect the lives of our children and grandchildren. The US is going to have to learn to live as a team player, not the bully on the block who is able to coerce the other players to follow his rules. Biden is President as this coalition grows faster and he as the office holder will bear the blame in the history books. Biden is at a point that firefighter on a line face when the embers cross the line and begin spot fires and they are so engaged in stomping on the spot fires they neglect to see the fire jump the line and burn on. For the life of me I cannot see why either Biden or Trump or anyone else wants to be President under these conditions.
They or anyone else are in the position of Priam, Leonidas, the Vikings abandoned on Greenland or any of the others of history at the fall of empire.

Happier note. Anyone who gets to see one of those cats is lucky but one who sees one on the doorstep is twice blessed.

What is the jobless rate for foreign-born workers?

Employees who were born outside the U.S. had a lower jobless rate last year than native-born workers, the BLS said.

Foreign-born workers had an unemployment rate of 3.4% in 2022, compared with 3.7% for people born in the U.S., it noted.

The biggest difference was among men, with about 77% of immigrant male workers over the age of 16 in the workforce, compared with 66% of those born in America, the analysis found.
