It is a question of ethics . If she has violated ethics she will have to answer to her charges .

>>>So another poll for all of us on OPP. Should the judges doing all the favors for the prosecutors of Trump be removed? If not, why not? They have manipulated the court proceedings against Trump all along and losing many appeals. Should they face consequences?

Meanwhile, be fore warned that Permie is just spewing his hate again and is trolling Opp

Troll alert

Her actions make a mockery of the legitimacy of her court, it is shameful. She was a controversial Trump appointee due to her lack of qualifications and should have immediately recusing herself.

People like you are the real threat to America. A fair judge to you is like that one in NY.

I don't see her doing any "favors" for Trump.
She obviously offers a fairness balance in contrast to all of the lawfare and political bias going on from the leftist prosecutors and judges whose main purpose is to "Get Trump" and get him convicted of something before the November election. Clear cases of election interference.

They get a judge they do not own and they cannot stand it.

US District Judge Aileen Cannon, who was appointed to the federal bench by Trump in 2020, has drawn out the case with an unusual, eyebrow-raising approach in her nearly 10-month oversight of the case, delaying rulings on what experts say are routine legal questions that must be resolved before the case can go to trial.

The longer it takes for Cannon to decide these issues, the more likely a trial would need to wait until after the November presidential election

The Sixth Amendment is very specific: "[T]he accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy[...] trial." There is no such constitutional right given to the prosecution, and such a right would not serve the public interest. Defendants very often waive their right to a speedy trial in order to have more time to prepare a defense.

When the right to a speedy trial is waived, it falls to the court (that is, the judge) to schedule the proceedings at its discretion. It may choose to take into account the wishes of the prosecution or the defense or both but is not required to do so. It may also have to do with any appeals awaiting decisions from the SCOTUS.
