That is actually what is so scary. They know the vast majority of the American people are fair minded...and they know that the American people, (regardless of how they feel about Trump personally) are sick/tired of watching Gestapo Joe/Democrat-Communists/American-Left try to railroad Trump...because no one, (not even the Democrat-Communists) think Gestapo Joe can win. So, these treasonous Leftist political thugs intend to do as much damage as possible in the hopes it will be impossible to quickly rectify. That way, if they cannot cheat Trump out of the White House, (again)...they are still well on their way to destroying the country anyway, ("fundamental transformation"). And the Democrat-Communist Party/American-Left/Spineless RINOs care ONLY for the power/control they have become used to wielding and desperately want to hang on to...Donald Trump was exactly right when he said "At the end of the day, they're not coming after me, they're coming after you, and I'm just standing in the way". Fair-minded Americans know that if Trump was not running for president/or would quit running for president NONE of this garbage would be happening to him. This is a REGIME targeting their political opponent because he is a threat to their power. This is NOT "of the people, by the people, for the people"

It is indeed. And the appalling thing is we, as a nation have been fighting these vicious/oppressive/murderous Left-Wing governments all over the world for decades. Now apathetic/unconcerned, (useful idiot)/in some cases treasonous Americans have decided to adopt this fails-every-time-it's-tried system/swallowing the same lies/empty promises the Left always baited the useful idiot section of society with...and enriching the leadership as they sell-out the country...to a KNOWN evil. It's a shame people who have benefitted all their lives/as well as their families have benefitted, from the individual liberty/freedom of speech available to Americans, wanting to throw the greatest prosperity, for the most amount of people away for some "fundamental transformation"...fundamental...oh yes...but not a "new" system, the same always-fails Left-Wing system, (minor variations) that has been destroying societies all over the world. And in most places across the world these God given rights that Americans enjoy are not generally accepted...not considered the "natural" rights of all humanity, which should be the norm, not the exception. And if too many Americans keep taking these "rights" for granted/handing them over for convenience to an overreaching government...they may end up wondering where they went.
