Look at the sun, moon and stars, are you saying we are the only place in the whole universe that's flat? No our earth is round, gravity holds everything in place. You can't possibly believe the earth is flat.

What is a sea level believer? Since most of the earth is covered with water, I am a believer that all see a level sea with their own eyes for 360* - not a round or curved sea.

When you fly in an airplane (at any altitude) and look out the windows you never have to look down a curved ocean to see the horizon. The horizon always is viewed straight ahead at eye level.....

Thanks, I was just curious. But how many miles can our eyes see, even in an airplane, and you'd be up more level to the horizon in the air to see the sunrise. Just my thoughts.

Like maybe a depth perception thing, our eyes sometimes see thing that aren't quite true to the actual reality of things. I like those optical illusion things, their interesting how your brain and eyes sometimes confuse things you know.

I believe it is 3 to 7 miles and further in a clean atmosphere. And naturally much further in miles with binoculars and a telescope.

We just moved from Virginia Beach to Daytona Beach, and we still see a flat Atlantic Ocean. We still don't see ships that are sailing/motoring down a curved ocean. The haze makes them disappear from view. Telescopes and lasers are great for viewing long distances across the flat oceans.

So if it's a very slow gradual curve wouldn't it be hard to decern? I understand why people don't believe anything anymore that scientists, medical ,well just about anything anymore says as they've distorted the actual facts and butchered them over the last 50 years or so.

How about up in the space station, I believe that one can easily see the curvature of the earth at that altitude (relatively speaking planes are still pretty close to the earth's surface).

Since there are some satellites that "orbit" pole to pole, and other at a 90 degree angle in a more or less equatorial "orbit", have any of these satellites sent back photos of the "bottom of the earth"? If not, I would like very much to see what the orthogonal paths would look like?

It is what WE see and experience - not pictures.

Do you experience your earth spinning and wobbling as it hurtles through space?
