The seemingly blind allegiance of TFG's (the former guy) supporters.

(somewhat cleaned up and paraphrased from Quora)

Is there any kind of line that TFG's followers will not excuse? He mocks the military and practically invites Russian aggression, and they still support him? It begs the question: Could he really shoot someone in broad daylight on Times Square and many would still support him?

It is astonishing how quickly many of you dropped everything and rallied around him after it became known that he had been charged with several federal offenses, including violating the Espionage Act.

This clown, who likely cost you the previous presidential election, the last midterm election, your prized "red wave," and who was already facing an indictment in New York, has become the focal point of your all-out unity.

And what did many of you do? You began wailing like banshees about how unjust everything was. And furiously, while pounding your chests, you clutched your pearls and beseeched the heavens to intervene.

Before being forcefully removed from office, loyal arse-licker, GOP House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, tweeted: "Today is indeed a dark day for the United States of America." He was deplorably unaware that indeed, it had been a dark day for several years.

“Little Marco” Rubio had no idea how perilously close to the truth he was when he tweeted: “There is no limit to what these people will do to protect their power and destroy those who threaten it, even if it means ripping our country apart and shredding public faith in the institutions that hold our republic together.”

And then, Boots DeSantis tossed in his loyal arse-licking critique, not that it did him much good. It was all just a pathetic performance the world had already seen and is getting bloody tired of watching.

I’ll tell you, while we're scratching our heads, we're asking ourselves: What in the name of Ronald Reagan's ghost is wrong with so many of you?!?

Has anyone in your tribe ever stopped to consider the fact that this guy keeps getting indicted; that he was recently found liable for defamation and sexual abuse by a jury; that he lies as easily as he breathes; that his company was found guilty of numerous counts of criminal tax fraud and falsifying business records, that he incited a mob that attacked the U.S. Capitol, and that his own attorney, Michael Cohen, served time in prison?

This is the same guy whose chief financial officer admitted to 15 felonies during a ten-year tax scheme, the man whose campaign chair (Paul Manafort), national security adviser (Mike Flynn), chief strategist (Steve Bannon), and campaign adviser (Roger Stone) were all found guilty on felony counts. Have you not considered the possibility that this isn't the greatest candidate to bank on for the future success of your political party?

Has it ever occurred to any of you that maybe the guy in this narrative who seems constantly surrounded by criminals taking the rap for him, isn't the genuine victim?

TFG would be squawking for a bucket of fish and slapping you all in the face with his wings if he was any more of an albatross for the lot of you.

All you've ever done is circle him like cheerleaders suffering from Stockholm syndrome, supporting the biggest loser ever to lose, while he drags you and your party down. All the while, the world is watching and waiting, wondering and withering while you figure out if you’re aware that he is a hazardous and flawed product that is not benefiting America.

But you’re here, aren’t you? Unable to stop yourselves. And just as much as he has, you’ve also become entirely snaffled by his victimization saga which is so similar to addiction, it’s like beating your head against the wall, but it's not helping you or anyone else. And you really need to figure out how to stop.

It is not the result of a conspiracy theory that other people aren't in TFG's situation. The reason for this is that they haven’t done the crap he’s done and there isn't sufficient evidence to place any of them in that circumstance. Period.

For the love of God - Wake Up! You’re laying down your lives for a man who wouldn’t pour his diet coke on you if you were on fire!

It is a cult little different than the followers of Jim Jones.

======================
So, you want us to hire a demented old man that needs a host of puppet masters to run the nation. A guy with strong bribery ties to China and the Ukraine, pees in his diaper and then falls going up stairs, and has enriched his entire family since becoming president? Then too, his wingman son has done his share of financial chicaner, and included "The big guy!"

Clearly you're referring to TFG. But Jared Kushner, his wingman as former senior advisor to the president, was his son-in-law - not his son.

I did, but for this slow creature, the reference was obscure. Who uses TFG to refer to Trump besides you? Anyway, my rant against Biden fits right in as a counter to your Trumpisms. TFPT=TFG

If one really uses thinking skills, TFG could refer to almost any person in any category. The writing and thinking skills decline is a perfect example of the failure of the public uneducation system.

I love lists! Yes, a nice black one would be proper for this list! Shall we begin with Obama?

On the other hand, anybody reading the thread title and OP could only picture TFG as Donald Trump. What does that say about your reading comprehension and thinking skills, Dear Lady
