I was confused by two conflicting claims by Donald Trump in his New York civil case concerning business fraud.

Maybe Donald was/is also confused? Anyway …

A) Trump, through his lawyers, specifically requested a bench trial instead of a jury trial in this case. That means that guilt or innocence is determined by the judge assigned to the case. Whether Trump believed he couldn’t get a fair shake from a jury in a “blue” city or for some other reason is a moot point now. And yet he went on a Truth Social rant all the same, calling the judge “deranged” and a “Trump Hater” who was denying him a trial and a jury. Hmmm. Am I missing something here?

B) In speech after speech, interview after interview and book after ghost-written book, Donald Trump has bragged about his business acumen and enormous wealth. He has continued in the same vein after the fraud ruling against him. He insists that his properties and “brand” are worth many times their assessed values. I am not a licensed real estate agent or appraiser, so I have no expertise in this matter, only curiosity about one thing: If Donald Trump is indeed worth even more billions of dollars than, say, Forbes estimates, why in the hell does he keep asking his followers for donations?

Shouldn’t he instead be paying the legal fees for all those fine folks that he claimed to love in his Jan 6 “go home” video? And the same for all the lawyers, advisors, and others caught up in his various alleged criminal schemes to retain power, steal and retain government documents, and pay hush money? Maybe in lieu of holding rallies and selling all those caps and t-shirts, he could throw parties for all his faithful followers? Or at least invite them to lunch at one or another of his golf courses or resort properties? C’mon, man! You want the base to think you’re one of them. Cut loose of some of those big bucks and prove it!

Explain why open borders are such a great idea. You want more preventable killings like the jogger in GA, you fool!

Let us ask you a question? Has Biden accomplished anything for this country or spoken without lying?

I wondered about all these things too. However, it's just an unimportant movie in the grand scheme of things. No propaganda please.
