The U.S. spent 40% of personal taxes on debt interest. This isn’t money for roads or infrastructure. This is just servicing the debt. This comes out to more than we spend on defense.
Thoughts?

If we do not get the national debt under control, we are doomed.

Congress/government MUST stop this reckless spending and start cutting programs/entities.

Paying that much just for interest is stupid and our government puts the stupid into stupid and keeps piling it on.
No aide for Ukraine or Israel and lock the gates at the border and throw away the keys. Quit being STUPID.

Easy to spend other peoples money. Especially when the lenders don’t hold them accountable.

Oh, I wish we could. The only accountability there is, is voting them in or out. The American people do a horrible job of that.

According to the IRS, the 1% pay the highest percentage of taxes overall.

Even the rocks in my yard are smarter than you are.

This particular fact has been written on the wall for a long time, the larger the debt, the more interest has to be paid. Interest on the debt is ready to become the 2nd largest item in the federal budget. Now our elected officials can work with ever greater enthusiasm to make sure it becomes NUMO UNO!!!!!
