Should we defend NATO countries that don't pay their share? When they join they agree to help pay the expenses and we agree to defend them. So if they don't pay we don't defend! Right?

You haven’t a clue how it works, there is no “dues” to pay. One thing everyone should agree on is no one should invite the Russian dictatorship to do what it wants to our NATO allies.

The issue is not about paying their NATO DUES!

The issue is about NATO Nations that refuse to spend 2% of their GDP for THEIR OWN DEFENSE, as promised.

When they REFUSE to DEFEND THEMSELVES, why should WE defend them?

They've been living off the American taxpayers for decades while they spend their money on freebees for their citizens then invite immigrants to flood their countries adding to their domestic spending. Let their own citizens pony up, we've got our own problems.

It may not be called dues; however, NATO members commit to paying a certain percentage of their GDP to NATO for mutual defense.

He has already conquered other countries and installed pro Russian dictatorships to oppress their people. After Crimea the Ukrainians chose to fight back rather than become slaves to Russia.

They do not in any way pay NATO, the agreement is that they will spend a percentage of GDP on their national defense/military. It is sad that you allow MAGA lies to infest you like a brain fluke, it is also terrible for our nation.

I said they agree to help pay i.e. the 2%for defence. Now if they don't meet this amount why should we pay to defend them?

It was Obama that got the NATO members not paying what they should, to pay up. Trump recently just showed up what he is- an ignorant idiot on foreign affairs. He was just lucky nothing happened on his watch.
