You still use a purse/wallet.

Now days generation z does it all on their phone. Digital wallet, digital ID. Digital everything. So if you wanna be in style throw away your wallet.

I have a very hard time stuffing my cash and cards into my cell phone. The cell phone takes up a whole pocket and gets scarred up by keys and coin. Most of the time it's battery dies just when I need it for a call. My eyes are too bad to read the fine print anyway. Sometimes old fashioned is the only way to go.

My car key is nice and round nothing to scratch with and I don't need to get it out of my pocket to start my car. I still use a wallet too though because I don't trust digital stuff.

I quit my phone and the only complaints I Get are those that want to reach me when I don't want to be reached. Yeah, I'm old fashioned.

Americans desire for 'convenience' will end in slavery.

I'm a Boomer. I watched pagers and "brick-phones" arrive, and have watched the progress of this technology "advance" to today, where very few people aren't walking or driving (or any number of other activities) around connected to a device. Have you noticed, the phones have GROWN in physical size since 2000. Soon, YOU can decide if you want that bulky thing in your pocket, or would YOU rather have the comfort and convenience of an implant ? It will be YOUR decision...no coercion...no pressure... just the hands-free luxury of being connected to the "Main-Frame". And forward we go.

I'm sixty nine years old. I am not (willingly) involved in the digital takeover that we are experiencing.

You want me to bulk the damned thing up further for my pocket! So, when it rings, I have to fight it out, then fight off the cover, and end up missing the call, which is probably a nothing call anyway. At 93, there are few friends left to call, and they seldom do as they also grow old. One ought to value personal visits rather than a shallow phone call.

My initial post appears to say I embrace intrusive technology. I'm sorry, I do not...sarcasm eludes some folks.
I use a faraday wallet to block the mag-strips and chips on my driver's license and credit cards. My phone rides in similar protection from snooping, tracking, criminals etc.
Sorry to mislead you.

At least my stuff is not open to hacking in my wallet or purse.
