The way the game is played is - No one gets everything they want - especially on a divided Congress. Give a little to get a little. Or give a lot to get a lot.

The whole thing is moot though. Dems will not vote for a border bill with no 2nd hand weapons & munitions guaranteed for Ukraine - so even if Johnson's House members got everything they want, he likely still wouldn't bring it to the floor if there is any aid to Ukraine in it.
