The planet runs on fossil fuels so that is not likely to be phased out . All other sources of energy such as hydrogen and electricity should be developed as additions to the energy sources we have --not replacements -- Just my thoughts

Great comment Tom... I feel the same way...

Also, perhaps if this idea was made policy, we could reduce the conflict over the CC.. it is not or should not be a 100% vs 0% issue....

Such a shame. You were moving in the right direction. I really thought you might perhaps pull it off and deduce the proper conclusion, but then you failed.

Inflation is caused when the government creates too much money, thereby debasing that money. Brandon began creating gobs of money the second he became President of the United States of America. The causes of inflation are not brain surgery, rocket science, or calculus. They are 2nd grade arithmetic.

I have never had credit card debt. I have not always had a great salary, but I made sure that I lived within my means. Except for medical debt, I see excessive credit card debt as the fault of the card holder. The credit card companies will extend credit almost indefinitely, to almost everyone. They sometimes charge interest rates that are usury. It is their fault if they can't rein in the irresponsible.

For once I agree with Pegw.

It’s not. If government stays out of the way the free market usually handles it. Under Trump our carbon footprint went down. Trump had nothing to do with it. Natural gas was replacing coal because it’s cheaper. If and when “green energy” becomes efficient and affordable it will be in consumer demand. As of now so called “green energy” production is more harmful to the environment than fossil fuels.

The two Santa clause theory

Maintains that were republicans are in office they should run up the debt and deficit .
So when the Dems come into office they will be forced to shoot their own Santa clause.
And so , since 1980 the republicans have run up the debt by giving tax breaks to rich people.
When the Dems take office the republicans scream bloody murder about any democratic money being spent.
Every Republican president has given rich people tax breaks.
And never spent a dime on anything else.
This is so they blame the tax and spend democrats., inaccurately .
The national debt we’re always arguing about was mostly created by republicans.
For this they get to vote No for any domestic spending bills. Claiming we can’t afford it.

Go back to the gold standard and silver coinage instead of paper money. What do you think of that wise one ?

It is the fault of the card holder. Nothing says you have to pay the minimum only. That’s a big mistake. Should pay off much faster and if can’t, then don’t borrow as much.

Thank you sir . I plan on keeping my coventional fueled vehicles as a matter of convienience but Hydrogen and electrics have a future ,If propulsion using magnetic force could be perfected we would have free fuel.

Only problem Tom is magnetic propulsion requires electricity, as with the electric vehicles it takes fossil fuels to generate enough power to accommodate the masses.
Back to the drawing board!

Almost all credit card interest is zero if paid in full monthly. If you don’t have the money don’t make the purchase.
