I grew up when being Patriotic still meant being loyal & dedicated to our country & the democratic principles upon which it was founded. It didn't mean swearing blind fealty to a single political party or agenda or individual. Upholding the spirit & intent of the Constitution was the primary goal of a true Patriot, not nit-picking or expanding or trying to reinterpret the entire document to suit a personal or political belief. Patriots believed in serving their country & their fellow Americans, and they were willing to put their lives on the line to defend both.

Unfortunately, it looks & feels like that kind of Patriotism has slowly disappeared. Greed, avarice, laziness, disdain & self-interest gradually replaced honor, loyalty, courage, truth & sacrifice. The true meaning & concept of Patriotism has been ridiculed, twisted & lost to modern society. The American public is losing its understanding of Freedom & the vital role Patriots play in preserving it.

Future generations won't be able to comprehend how our country came to exist or have an inkling of the efforts required to carry it forward. In fact, the United States might not exist at all before long, at least as we currently know it. Freedom & democracy are at risk these days, and it may be that only true Patriots can save America!

Yes i agree with you. 66 is still good enough to reason things out with sometimes though unlike Milosia and Peggy.
