You can be Liberal and not a Leftist. Yes I am a Proud Woke USAF Vet(MSgt ret.1992-2022)and even prouder progressive liberal(Member of Progressive Liberals of America)but a NOT A Leftist. I Do NOT Agree with every decision made by my political party. I also am not a supporter of HAMAS or ANTIFA. I think the "Squad" should be censored. I Am NOT A LEFTIST. but I Am a Chrsitian. I also do not support many of the moe outspoken liberals here on OPP because they are radicals who do IMO want to just antagonize the right side of the Aisle especially the MAGA supporters. Finally I had the honor and priviledge to serve with many servicemen and women who are members of te LGBTQ community going back to "ask Don't Tell"and NOT 1 were or are dragqueens on or off duty. Some have retired with honor and some are still serving.(Both Officer and enlisted,close personal friends)

If more Democrats were as measured as you we'd have a lot less conflict in this country. Personally, I don't think anyone cares if someone is gay. The problem comes, as with so much else, they are considered superior and the lifestyle is shoved down the throats of little children, most of whom haven't yet firmly decided what their favorite color is

Yes I know and that is what is sad and frustrating being a liberal. No there are those(here)that want homsexuals eradicated as vermin. I personally don't care who you want to marry or love My wife and I have also raised our twin duaghters that way. Many of our friends are married and gay and none of them are into drag. Some are teachers and have never abused any child that way but they still have to fight to keep their jobs.

Because the GOP has changed and not for the Better. The blog you provided was very interesting. I agree with his definitions so yes I am a liberal and proud capitalist with progressive ideals.

I am an independent on the Libertarian side of politics who supports a smaller government, capitalism, patriotism and am tolerant to non-activist LGBQs. I have a few friends who are conservative and gay. I have a nephew who is gay and married in California. He is a liberal, but not an activist. I VOTE FOR THE PERSON-NOT FOR THE PARTY.

The GOP has changed and, I believe, for the better. No more foreign wars. Balance the budget. Government accountability. Excellence in education. Real world solutions for homelessness. Law and order. All things I can get behind, which is why I presently vote Republican. Honestly, there is nothing in the Democrat platform I can support. Words, maybe. But certainly not deeds.

Yes, I used to vote like this. But because Democrat politicians vote as a monolith, I don't believe that is safe anymore

That is true nowadays. The most Democrats of whom I voted for in the past were Governors or lower offices of my state. Never for Senators, although I voted for a Dem. Representative until he became too ideologically left of center. The only Democratic President I voted for was Jimmy Carter. I was 18 and ignorant regarding politics then.
