A cashless society is closer than you think. Already, less than 10% of transactions in America are made with cash. In some cases, using cash can actually draw the attention of authorities for probable criminal activity. When's the last time you were able to use cash to pay for a hotel room?

The Book of Revelation mentions the mark of the beast. No one will be able to buy or sell without this mark. This would allow total control of the worlds population. You want to eat? Get the mark. You want a place to live? Get the mark. You want to work? Well, you'll need the mark to access your bank account, which is where your check will be deposited.

And get this. They now have a technology that can can apply a RFID tattoo on your skin that can be read by scanners up to four inches away. Could this be the mark of the beast, mentioned in the Bible?

The world is rapidly moving towards a cashless society. It's not a matter of if, but when. The Bible says that anyone who accepts this mark will spend eternity in Hell. Is it a coincidence that current events so closely match up with what Revelations predicted would happen? I'll leave that for you to decide. I've already made my decision. I will never get this mark.

The last twelve months I've stayed in hotels in Massachusetts , Florida,Texas,Nevada,California, and I've paid cash in every one of them. What freaking planet do you live on grugore? I would love to be able to walk into a store and fill up a shopping cart and walk out without the hassle of standing in line and scanning each item. I'd like to see all humans implanted with a computer chip that monitors all vital stats, and tracks location with gps. You would rather live in fantasy bible world? The people who wrote the bible were primitive superstitious morons who were afraid of the dark and everything else their primitive minds couldn't understand. If you were to pull out this iPad I'm writing this with in bible writing period, they would crucify you for being a devil,/witch. So if you're against technology you should kill yourself and go to the planet heaven where you'll be safe.

You're free to think what you want. But think about this. When we switch to a cashless system, who controls your money? And whoever controls your money controls YOU.

That's a scary thought and I don't like the sound of it ,one bit. We'll always be able to barter, or trade though

Barter and trade for what? There might be places where people could grow their own food, but where would they get the seeds from. Ever hear of what Monsanto is doing? Most of the seed stock farmers use comes from his company. These seeds, when grown, do not produce more seeds. The farmers must buy more seeds from Monsanto. Why do you think his company does this?

I hate Monsanto. My mom owns Monsanto stock and I try and tell her how evil they are but she doesnt believe it. But cash isn't going to disappear any time soon, so I'm not sweating. Besides look what happens every time the power goes out, the frikken stores are paralyzed. I think we'll always have cash.what I see happening is ,"they" will suddenly try to change the currency we use and that's gonna be the start of real problems.

Well, Jeff you may soon get your wish concerning technology. But it may not be what you expect. An article in the latest "Time Magazine" suggests there are those in high places that cautioning about artificial intelligence. The fear is that artificial intelligence could become the masters and we humans the servants.

I'm not worried. All we'd have to do is pull the plug.

I'm afraid that if the machine is now smarter than the humans that designed it, the machine will have figured that move out. And that brilliant idea of pulling the plug tells me that the machine doesn't have to be too smart to outfox you guys.

Intelligence requires consciousness, therefore there can never be true artificial intelligence other than computational inputs and retrievals. This is known as computational intelligence not conscious intelligence. Free will and gut feelings are not computational and will always be impossible to mechanically duplicate. However there is a clear probability that computational intelligence will become ever more prevalent which will further degrade a humans ability to have feelings and emotions and the ability to recognize right from wrong and recognize good or bad probabilities . The disfunction in society that we have now will be magnified by an order hard to imagine when our already inept society relies on, believes, and obeys this so called artificial intelligence. Think about the future posts on this site alone from the liberal sponges who already believe any form of lunacy that is presented to them.
We are going in a very very bad direction.

In light of what you said, you have to wonder where human consciousness came from. The human brain, after all, is simply a complex machine, and a machine cannot be conscious.

Are you substituting the word conscious for conscience? An animal is also conscious, or has consciousness but not,I think, a conscience! Either way, a machine has neither. But we humans, some anyway, have a conscience. The question, however, is at what point was it learned:and why?
