I am really "irrigated" about this. I tried to email my dissatisfaction with the address they listed and my email was returned. I then tried to text them at 34741 that Dish listed as a good contact # and that # was not recognized. As soon as we find another carrier we're canceling and it will cost us a years penalty. We have been very dissatisfied with their service. When anyone tries to control and limit what we hear, it becomes time to turn them off.

Exactly right. Sometimes sacrifice is necessary …. Especially financial ones.

You bought a service that contained Newsmax. They changed the contract they had with you and it is a rightful termination.

I just remember another issue I had that was similar. Don't remember the company, but they promised me phone service the equal to AT&T. I had constant problems calling friends at well known numbers. Frequently had to call their service, listen to a 5 minute commercial for their TV service that I didn't want and had no contract with. Finally got to an operator and demanded she make my connection. Many times. The limit was one time I couldn't call a neighbor, across the courtyard. I just quit, refused to pay any bill for the three months of service and returned to AT&T. Never did pay a cent. They didn't life up to the oral contract of equal service.

My advice, at your own risk. Quit over diminished service. Them breaking your contract for the service you were being offered at the start of the contract.

I also had a cable deal one time. TV. Every year for several years, I would leave town the first week of September. I would return to no TV service. It would take days for them to repair the service. It was always because the cable was disconnected externally. Apparently an annual check for illegal switching. I never requested anything but minimal service and never switched the cables. I finally bitched about the week or so of service I missed because of their disconnecting the cable. The repair man told me I had to make a complaint with the cable company. The hell I do. When you repair a malfunction of their equipment, and a cable disconnection by them is that, the repair order should list that in the repair report and it is an automatic deduction. If not, they are deliberately screwing you. So I just showed an itemized list of what I was deducting and why from my next bill. Of course they wouldn't recognize that. So they again stopped my service. I complained to the Cable Commissioner. Big todo, but I refuse to give them back their equipment until I had all the service I paid for, by my reasonable calculations. They reconnected me and after a month, I turned it off and they had to come and pick up their equipment at MY convenience. Great satisfaction on that one.

Good luck with your problems.

Had an alarm system with a crap company! I couldn’t find my stupid home phone handset and forgot to pay the bill cause I never used it! The alarm company never called to check on me! Their system went out and when I called repair they said they didn’t have that part anymore! The repair guy they contracted with said they were crap! Cancelled them and didn’t pay their contract!!
