You know I worked with a kid back in the early 70's who's father owned a heating oil and gas company. We were setting around the office playing cards and the young man said, boys get ready, gas is going to 75 cents a gallon. We all but laughed him out of the place.
Darned if it didn't happen.

We have listened and most have believed everything that came out of our so called elected officials mouth down through the years.

Now I think all they did down through the years is double talk. They have said one thing but really meant something else. They have hidden issues in bills that was outright pork-barrel theft that had nothing whatsoever to do with the main bill. They go into office on a shoestring of their own money, but make deals and convince moneyed people to fund their campaigns and become someones whore. All of the sudden they become millionaires off tax payer money or lobbyist and then find ways to keep fooling "We the People" into thinking they are representing us. You're right this is a great country, we just have the worst leadership.
