My friend, a retired college professor from NYC, attends a Lutheran Church conveniently close to her home. She is liberal in an old fashioned big city way but religiously conservative in an almost catholic way. I was unaware of the ELCA insanity, so I checked and sure enough her church is in that fold.
There have been times when she has disagreed with the culture at her church and she would accompany me to Mass the following week to show her displeasure. Now that I know the back story I understand her feelings of uneasiness.
But I won't say anything. I know how to keep women happy...😉
