I am told that drag show entertainers are accomplished and experienced actors. The show does not appeal to everyone. Some people would not choose to go to a ballet or an opera for entertainment.

Drag shows are designed for entertaining, not recruiting. I don't have the desire to be an opera singer after I have attended an opera. Gay-themed plots have been accepted in the world of opera. The opera "As One" is considered the first transgender opera. The story follows the life of Hannah as she goes through her transformation.
