As I look at the news here in America and the wider world in general I see conflicts of all types within nations and between nations including the current war between Russia and Ukraine. The United Nations was formed to prevent international disagreements from becoming shooting wars and they failed this time and in several previous instances and still I don't see any effort today to bring an end to the shooting. Not one representative is demanding that steps be taken by the organization to end the war. So what's the problem? I see the same divisions here on OPP every day and I admit to participating. Like in every family there are differing opinions and personalities and conflicts, the same is true here on OPP so I like to proposed a truce. I CHALLENGE myself and everyone else to behave like ladies and gentlemen for the 30 days beginning Saturday 6/10. No name calling or using derogatory terms either within your posts or replies. We are a microcosm of the nation and the world so if we can't do a simple thing like this then we should assume that the nation and the world are doomed to forever be in conflict. And IF we fail in this will it be someone from the right or someone from the left who proves to be the aggressor?
