The Effects of Aging on Mirrors

I've applied for a government grant to study the effects of aging on mirrors. Do you have a mirror in your home that's been there for ages? Haven't you noticed that things just don't look the same as the mirror gets older? I aim to get to the bottom of what causes this, the glass doesn't appear to be distorted or damaged yet I've recently realized that I just don't look the same as I did when the mirror was new 30 years ago. I suspect it's could be something in the manufacturing process kind of like 'built in obsolescence to get us to buy new mirrors from time to time. I'll let you know what I uncover.

Do I see a lawsuit coming ? Somebody has to make Big Mirror pay. These evil corporations are always shafting the little guy. Then they make the glass fragile. If you knock the mirror over it shatters into a million pieces and you have to buy another mirror. We all know what that means. Big Mirror gets richer and we get 7 years of bad luck.

Didn't they ever hear of safety glass ? Now you saying that even if by some miracle, we manage to not break the mirror, if wears out anyway by us looking at ourselves and we look worse over time ?

If you look at the mirror at least once daily the changes are not easily noticed--My experience .

Thanks for the tips guys. I did try the oil change once, even out of desperation tried the one Oprah recommends, but it only blurred everything. You know what, I just noticed non of the ladies on OPP responded, could this phenomenon only effect men or are mirrors sexist? Inquiring minds want to know.

Lol I noticed that! Maybe that’s why vampires don’t like mirrors!

Forgive me but I see nothing in you're ID to indicate female. I apologize.
