Moving forward on trying to bring OPP bloggers together to create a better country and how to get there. But as I went thru todays topics I was so disappointed in the attacks on democrats and republicans continue and out weight the common sense solutions to our nations problems

Our number one problem is our national debt. We have a few that have recognized some great issues and deserve a debate.

Don’t forget the national debt is not democrats versus republicans. The national debt over 40 years is both sides. We can agree to disagree which party created this massive $31 trillion debt. But congress creates budgets. Over the years one party or the other had control and neither party ever addressed the debt.

But I read some amazing comments and I wish we could just address one at a time so let’s take a look.

Mandatory balanced budget the budget should not exceed Federal Revenues.

Create a graduated tax where we all pay our fair share and Revenue collected goes directly to the deficit.

Use it or loose it was very interesting to me because I never thought of it. But yes our government agencies when approaching the end of the fiscal year they go crazy and spend on crap. Not sure if you read it but this blogger pointed out use it or loose and where these funds were spent. And he’s right it’s crap.

Misaligned incentives in the budget process. This is very interesting I wish this blogger would expend on this problem. We need examples.

Did corporate tax cuts do any good or did it just add to the deficit and income inequality which is a big concern to me when the upper 3% has 82% of the wealth I think all of us should be concerned.

Countries standard of living depends on its ability to produce Goods and services. Awesome quote my feelings are this country has amazing resources
to produce affordable goods and services. I believe that inflation is very simple the cost of goods and services increase at a faster rate than wages. So is it corporate greed or inflation. Do we incorporate some kind of wage and price control in this country to slow inflation.

This really caught my eye a Fundamental relationship between productivity and living standard has a profound implication for public policy I would hope that this blogger will expand on this issue.

But these are a few that caught my eye. And actually only one insult where I was told to get my head out of my ass. Believe me he is right. I have to admit I have been just as guilty as many handing out insults. I am attempting to stop the insult program it’s the only way we can eliminate the division in this country and come to a common sense solution to our nations problems. We have to stop dividing this country and the first move is stop the insults and respect the ideological beliefs.

I would also enjoy hearing how you came to your ideological beliefs.

Myself I grew up in a lower middle class family. But I had parents that taught me one thing a strong work ethic. I ended up in a vocational school and took Radio and TV service. I never ended up in that line of work but followed my fathers career path in the electrical industry. So over 15 years in the electrical industry I ended up as a foreman doing electrical work in a computer room and wow was I amazed at the technology it took to wire a computer room. It was an enormous industry but only a few companies had the ability to wire these rooms.
So I ended up in business and I sold my company as a high tech facilities company. I expanded the company to incorporate design build of high tech facilities and hired a Mechanical engineer, and a Electrical engineer. So over 18 years and a graduate of a vocational school I built a company with over 140 employees I wasn’t the brightest in the room but I had a good judge of character and I hired smart.

So that’s my story as a young electrician I certainly fell into the liberal hole. But as I grew and went into business I began to fall into the conservatives ideology. So being on both ends I want yo say I believe in a balanced budget, I believe in corporate tax breaks but they have to be incentive based. If a manufacture is creating good paying jobs and not offshoring there profits yes these corporations deserve tax incentives.
But I also believe in affordable healthcare for all. I believe ever kid in this country deserves a path out of poverty because it’s not his fault so we need to feed him and educate him. Then you break the string of poverty in that family.

But guys and or Gals thank you for your well thought out post. And thank you to the guy that made one insult hey Airforceone take your head out of your ass. He was 100% spot on.

You have not read her private message which there are about 50 of them and what she says on the open site is not even close to what is said in her PM. But thank you for helping her to continued with her cut and paste. OPP relies on her. And it’s okay but don’t try to make a distinction between her and myself I have sacrificed for this country I fought to keep our democracy safe.

That has nothing to do with my response. Please don't use what I said to further your attacks on Proud Republican.

That's not bad language...it's an acronym. And it is not rude or insulting.

You, Airforceone, have no business telling anyone else they have filthy language....you are the rudest person I have ever read on a forum. Language doesn't have to include cuss words to be "filthy".

Corporate tax breaks at this point need to happen on an incresed base over what corporations are being taxed now so that there is room for incentives...incentives are not zero taxes for companies making billions of dollars in taxes.

I'm retired and I haven't made enough money to pay income taxes at the end of the year. You want me to pay a new tax on top of sales tax so I pay my fair share? That's a huge tax increase on my fixed income. How is that fair? 🤔

You have never reflected any right wing ideology in previous posts.
Fake post? You couldn't make lefty statements like you have in the past if you had any hint of conservatism in your political bent.

I am finding it difficult to believe the opening post. It did not have the usual spelling and grammar errors, and was actually very readable. It seems almost as it it was written by another writer.
