Sung to the tune of "These are the people of Walmart". Here on OPP we have a variety of types to rival the People of Walmart video that went so viral on YouTube, and I've been making a list.

I've assigned a number of categories, which I'll list here, and I've restrained myself from putting our Dear Members names to those categories - and it wasn't easy.

Here we go:
HOSTILES. (AKA TROLLS) Always looking for a fight, will butt into any comment if they see any way of hurling insults regardless of politics. A subset of this are the Political Hostiles, who specialize in just attacking those with opposing political views. Never have anything to ad to the discussion, just enjoy getting personal.

STUPID. This is a limited category, there are only a few actually, genuinely stupid people on OPP but there's plenty of stupid comments made, anyway.

CALM AND POLITE. Never cuss, never hurl insults or call names, always state their position reasonably and politely. A pointed reminder for the rest of us to cool our jets once in a while.

RADICAL SCREAMERS. Often say everything in capital letters, or capitalize every second or third word, use a lot of pointless punctuation like ~~ and **.

CRAZIES. We got 'em here, hoo boy. Half of what they type is unintelligible, (and sometimes all of it), they string words together like they're on free-association drug trips and usually are way off-topic. Often quote the wrong person when replying, and usually to post a raving rant.

HATERS. Jew haters, black haters, white haters, Hispanic haters, atheist haters, religion haters, many of us are one or more of these. Makes OPP a very entertaining place, for sure.

POSERS. Oh yeah, where would we be without POSERS. People who pretend to belong to the "other" political party, atheists who pretend to be devoutly religious, homosexuals who pretend to be straight as a platform for pushing their agenda, people who claim to be doing wonderful good works, but it's all BS. Virtual cross-dressers who post avatar pics of sensual women, and con artists who want to be your friend, ho ho.

RELIGIOUS FANATICS. Sooo devout, sooo very self-righteous, sooo in tune with Jesus and God and the Scriptures, and so ready and willing to attack and insult and spit at you. Woohoo.

JOKERS. We do have a few, whose main thing is cracking jokes and poking fun at whatever seems like a fair target. Good thing we have them for some balance.

REASONABLE. Last group. Intelligent people who may get into a heated discourse once in awhile but at least know what they're talking about and don't mind admitting it when they're wrong. OPP would be lost without them.

Interesting post! I see myself in more than one category. Perhaps a blend of most (all?)...hehe I have tried to be better @using spell check more often & proof read what I write. I have finally learned just recently to click on the 2nd button (not Reply but Reply Quote...(I believe) This also allows one to scroll back to check on something written by the person you are reply quote too...thanks to the person who so "kindly" told me about this, I am grateful & it makes sense to me now...It may be helpful that I'm a "blend" I'm not sure but I hope my contribution is more appreciated by my improvement of 1) spell check 2) proof read & 3) "reply-quote"...I rest my case.
