I had some deer that tried to tackle or jump my car. Some have made it, but most didn't. They can be as dumb as horses running back into a burning barn. Deer like to circle or reverse direction. I guess staying with the herd is more important than survival. To some. I just don't know why they always pick on me. Texans always put deer feeders too close to roads. Because they keep fence rows clean. Older people with a caterpillar usually know to clear a circle inside of a brushy area and away from the highway. Usually, with a tree blind on one side for deer season. Pointing away from the highway or the home and outbuildings. And when the deer feeder gets empty the grass starts getting tall again or the hogs have destroyed your deer feeder again. I make my deer, stand on their back legs to reach my deer feeders. Well, I did when I owned some land. Now we have some Rodensian Ridgebacks that are pretty big and when they can reach the feeder it's time to go hog hunting again. That's why Texans hate hogs so much and it does help the farmers. Or that's what I tell myself. Or how bad the hog problem has become. They can make good bait, for other critters. Even vultures, coyotes, or wild dogs, which are just weaker, types of wolves. Until they learn the ropes. Hamstring the larger animals and choke the young ones. I'll wipe out anything attacking my horses and cattle.
