I think it's because he thinks if he writes many words and breaks down people's posts sentence by sentence he can delude them into thinking he's not lying. He's very good at not only twisting other people's words around to make them mean something different than they intended - he's obviously trying to do it with his OWN words!
It's fascinating to me how much he is willing to scramble around trying to convince everyone (including himself) that they didn't read what they read with their own eyes! He weaves a very tangled web, this one does!

I am glad it is not just me who sees it this way. Straight up is one of the more clever posters on the left. I want to see how he gets out of this corner.
