Here is the premise.

I was raised that one provided assistance to an individual in need of assistance, specifically if they came to your door. You would offer the use of your telephone or call for assistance for them. If there was some length of delay, you offered refreshments, made attempts to keep them calm and comfortable.

Today one of the progressives from OPP appears at your door. For the purpose of the thread there are levels.

1. Would not answer the door.
2. Would answer door, make call for them and ask them to leave your property.
3. Would answer door, make the call, offer them a bottle of water and ask them to leave your property.
4. Would answer the door, make the call, offer them water and allow them to wait (alone) for assistance to show up.
5. Would answer the door, make the call, offer them refreshments and offer calm comfort.

You do not have to name names. We all pretty much already know who falls in each level..,or you can name them. We know they have no issue naming us.

How many fall in each level?

1. Five
2. Three/four
3. Two
4. - -
5. Four

** The numbers are just a quick mental run down. They may go up on 3 through 5.

Among the four number of persons for 5, are individuals who have been part of OPP long term and remain somewhat polite in their interaction with people of opposite political leanings.

Do you not have ideas of the number of people fitting into the other levels?

For Level 1, it only took me 15 seconds to come up with the number I would not answer the door for.

I’d answer for all. I’d also be armed. They could wait on the porch and use my phone for any call and even have water if they wanted it. I have chairs on the porch so they could sit and rest their brain.

Quit edit: I would knock airforceone out with out saying a word.

As of now, there are 59 OPP members that for me, would fall into the #1. slot, if I knew who they were. That's coincidently the number on my ignore list. There are some who decided to leave OPP.

Sorry, but I really didn't understand it fully. I've had so many nasty remarks thrown at me that I have become jaded or numb to the experience. Kevyn, for example, made the lowest of low remark about my mother performing oral sex on a reg. basis. these people are not human, they are the lowest forms of life. When I say they are pure scum, I mean people like Kevyn. What normal person with an "ounce" of decorum or integrity would say such perverted scumbag things? Nobody, period. But you have to realize who you are dealing with. I will ignore him (God help me) from now on....along with several others who haven't quite stooped his level of debauchery. But this is the Dem party "and their ilk". If I was in this group, I would leave. You are who you hang with.

The five I have in Level 1 fall …let me do it this way.

Six years ago, I received a survey call from the hospital. They wanted me to rate a surgeon. My answer was if I saw him laying on the highway, already injured, I would run over him to make sure his injuries were serious.

Three of the five on my Level 1 fall into the same category as that surgeon. They are safer if I do not open my door!

Geez, I completely forgot about my Ignore List. Yep, my number at Level 1 went up; however, a few I might have had other levels.

As I posted, in another comment, there are some long time site members that continue to communicate in polite terms. They make the Level 5. It is my perception they have enough self awareness to understand mannerly behavior in someone’s home.
