PORTLAND, Ore. — Police caught a 10-year-old behind the wheel of a stolen car after spotting the child speeding out of a North Portland fast food restaurant parking lot early Friday morning.
At about 1:15 a.m. Friday, a Portland Police officer on patrol near North Vancouver Avenue and Lombard Street saw the vehicle, a Kia, speed out of the parking lot and continue driving erratically. She started following the vehicle and found out it was reported as stolen.

My dad began training me with guns when I was 5, and by age 7 I was good enough to have my own gun.
Dad gave me a Winchester semi-auto 22LR. I didn't shoot any teachers, or anybody else.
The key is responsible parents, teachers, and other influential adults.

I absolutely agree. In your case, as in the case of any responsible adult training a child, the gun is not being used as a weapon, but as a sporting tool. I should have made that more clear.
