I have been active on OPP for several months, and I have to say that I am disappointed. I thought that it would be a great place where people of different political ideologies could exchange ideas and maybe find agreement about things that we have in common. Instead I found a lot of people that were only interested in being rude and at times crude. I believe in civility and mutual respect. These qualities are completely lacking from many of those that contribute to OPP. Racist language and absurd statements are part and parcel of what goes on at this sight. Some of the most outrageous lies, half truths and disrespectful name calling seem to be all over OPP. Since I can only take so much of this kind of behavior, it is time for me to sign out, at least for a while. Good luck for now and try to be more respectful of different ideas.

If you haven't already, read my signature line. It helps me weather many storms. That, and the fact that there are also many reasonable and decent people on the OPP that offset those with hateful mindsets.

This site is WAY more tolerant than the liberal dominated Thom Hartmann so-called discussion forum. In 3 years I was kicked off 5 times but could always figure out how to get back on by using a different IP. I finally got disgusted with their bullshit. Moonbats are the most intolerant, racist assholes. I accused them of wanting to sit around, hold hands and sing Kumbaya while dreaming of their socialist, government controlled utopia. What is funny is some here consider me a "liberal" and there I was a rabid conservative.

You are correct, of course, and if you've had your fill, then you are doing the wise thing. I have left 4 previous sites for the same reasons you are leaving this one. Three of the four were SO MUCH WORSE THAN THIS ONE, that I view this one as the most polite one, and more tolerant of things I post than some of the others.

I, too, sometimes get so disgusted that I could scream, but I know that is what the political left, AKA America's home grown enemies, is here for. Some of them are paid employees - think about WHO is paying people to come on here and try to run us off, trying to shut us up. Their goal is to shut us up, run us off, prevent us from telling it like it is. For that reason I refuse to keep my mouth shut......I am more strongly for America than they are anti-America. I will not allow them to win. Politics is not child's play - it's rough and tumble. The only reason the left EVER PREVAILS is that the right doesn't fight hard enough.

The political left NEVER, EVER STOPS, NEVER EVER GIVES UP. THEY ARE PROGRAMMED TO KEEP GOING EVEN AFTER
LOSS. We on the right are not programmed; ergo from time to time we quit. The plural "we" must NOT quit. We are in a war for the heart and soul of America and the left MUST NOT BE ALLOWED TO WIN - BECAUSE WE KNOW THEY WILL TOTALLY DECIMATE WHAT WE CALL AMERICA.

I hope you will take a break, rest, then return with all your might. But KNOW the political left is going to be as nasty as it takes to shut us up. That will NEVER change. They set the nasty tone. We either respond or we let them have the floor.
