This is a source of the popularity of his rallies which are consistently attended by thousands, who are willing to drive hundreds of miles, in spite of record gasoline prices. His genuine love for this country, and for its people shines through, and it makes others happy.
Mark Twain, one of American's greatest humorists, remarked that “humor is mankind’s greatest blessing.” The human capacity for humor distinguishes our species from all others.
The highly abstract and symbolic nature of humor allows its expression in many different forms, and this complexity makes it beautiful. Humor can build, strengthen, and honor and perhaps all of these at the same time.
It is most unfortunate that the nature of Marxist Democrat Progressivism produces party devotees devoid of any genuine sense of humor. The only grim "humor" they express destroys rather than builds, weakens rather than strengthens, and besmirches rather than honors.
At its core, humor involves the ability to detect and to create incongruities.
Even the sound of laughter in others is associated with activity in regions of our brain that generate positive emotion.
Humor as a form of play, even with complex thoughts and ideas, is associated with positive emotions, and with positive feelings about the individuals with whom we experience that positive emotion. Shared humor, and the positive emotions it evokes stimulate us to seek out those individuals (DJT) with whom we can laugh and feel closer, creating stronger interpersonal bonds.

During Trump's first campaign he was always denigrated as merely a "Reality TV star," as if that was his career, instead of something with which he amused himself (#1 Reality show for 12 years) after reaching retirement age.
I never watched "The Apprentice," no interest in pseudo or 2nd hand reality.

I saw the old tape of Donald Trump being interviewed by the U.S. Congress on his view of the future Economic forecast... in the 80's, I think. He sounded quite knowledgeable.
He was invited as a recognized Business authority, and they treated him with great respect.
A different time, different circumstances, he wasn't running for office, and many of them in both political parties had received generous campaign donations from him through the years.
