Not much, only that he's Indonesian and I love his music. My favorite singer of all time died recently on his tour bus. Merl Haggard. His bus was bigger than his current home. I saw him twice just outside of San Antonio at a place called Flores Country Store.

I've listened to about ten of Cakra's songs so far. The first, Tennessee Whiskey, got me hooked. Seems like a humble, nice guy, so far. I've only been able to locate his covers of other artist's songs. Haven't heard any songs that he has written. I like raspy voices and he has a unique voice which makes he's songs sound more passionate.
Still think Dimash is the best singer I've ever heard, but I'd buy Cakra's music first.

Wishing you a wonderful & blessed Christmas!

Lucy Thomas is a new discovery, voice like an angel.

Really nice, to hear from you. I'll consider your message my Christmas present. And I'll pray you're doing well. Still loving the blanket and it works, keeps me very warm. You're just the sweetest person I know, love you very much!
Hope your New Year is your best ever. Evil is losing, and that makes me a very happy camper. Especially, in the human trafficking arena. My favorite Christmas song has always been, Mary did you Know? Christian song, I can Only Imagine.

Hi, Peewee,

My favorite quote from Merle Haggard was to the Boston Globe in 1999.
He said, "I'll tell you what the public likes more than anything. It's the most rare commodity in the world - honesty."

Waylon Jennings is my favorite country-western singer. "Sweet Dream Woman" is one of his best. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f8MjOj9TSiM

"Tennessee Whiskey?," do you suppose Cakra had Jack Daniels, a sour-mash Tennessee whisky in mind?

I hope you have a mild Texas winter, it's 25 degrees here, and snowing.

Have a blessed season, Peewee.

I had to look twice.

Interesting that her name, Chaka Khan, is so similar to the thirty year old Indonesian man, Cakra Khan, of whom Peewee was speaking.

Believe it or not I always loved Waylon and have never heard that song. Thanks, for sharing it. How it slipped by me, I'll never know. As to Cakra and sour mash I have no idea. If He drinks at all, it's probably an Indonisian brew. But I'm just guessing. I think he just heard Chris Stapleton version and covered it. Because he and Chris's voices are similar, kind of raspy.

I'm liking this new Zemirah, a little more outspoken, you go girl! In a culture war, all hands and voices are needed. And you have a powerful voice, in my opinion. Salute and Hoo-rah! You have much more tact than me, I'm way too blunt and scorched earth in my responses. You're a good influence on me and many others. I need to be nicer, or I won't be able to help the Left after they lose it all. Which is coming closer every day, from what I can see from my perch.

Carry on, my friend. It's the soul that counts the most, not the flesh. If you haven't watched The Chosen, it's really good. Season Three has started and the first two episodes have been posted on YT. Check it out if you haven't. I think you'll enjoy it. And more translations are being added making it go worldwide. All crowd funded too. The way the gospel and help should be presented, at no cost and totally free. People can accept or reject it. Their decision as always. Well written and acted and as long as free donations continue, so will it, season after season.

I'm glad you enjoyed "Sweet Dream Woman." I love that song, which Waylon Jennings cut in October, 1971, at RCA Studios in Nashville, then released in June 1972, fifty years ago. How time flies!

There's really nothing new about my manner of self expression in posting, Peewee... but, thank you for your comment. Perhaps you're being more analytically observant.

With the exception of a few whose names appear signed in regardless of the hour, the majority of OPP members (like you and I) have posts that appear to ebb and flow - whenever time allows or as mood dictates, during an otherwise busy life.

Posting also sometimes serves as a good diversionary tactic for momentarily escaping unpleasant realities.

I look to legitimate professional sources for the information I obtain that can be classified actual news, as I assume do you.

Hanukkah, the Festival of Lights, began at sundown yesterday evening, Sunday, Dec. 18th, and ends at sundown on Monday, Dec. 26 - if you care to observe it, or aren't already doing so.

I observe it, because Jesus did, and because it points to Him, as He is the Light of the world.

Regarding the left, it is the Christian's inclination to seek out and minister to the lost, but Biblically, when those who hated God were subjected to devastation, they did not turn to God, they cursed Him.

John 3:19-21: "And this is the verdict: The Light has come into the world, but men loved the darkness rather than the Light because their deeds were evil.
Everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come into the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.
But whoever practices the truth comes into the Light, so that it may be seen clearly that what he has done has been accomplished in God."
