This champion was on the playing field for just two seasons, he was a winner,
set records never yet broken and some that most likely never will be.
He was in nearly perfect physical condition and he certainly had his head on straight.
He had no skeleton's in his closet, no dirt in his past, nothing for the media or anyone else to smear him with.
Everyone loved him, especially the media. Reason being he was really tuned in to what made American's tick.
As general Patton said, "Americans love a winner."

And win he did. He never bragged or boasted or got all self-righteous and egotistical about his performance,
he simply just loved to win.

He came at a time when American's were depressed and worried and afraid (like now but not nearly as bad)
and he gave them hope, he lifted them up, reminded them what America is all about.

This American champion didn't smoke, drink or use any drugs. He never cheated on his taxes or abused children or sexually harassed females or committed adultery or went bankrupt or even thought about politics.
And he never paid for an abortion, nor did he ever have to.

Right now, the American people are in desperate need of a Winner.

President Trump delivered the most impressive and fantastic message today for all the American people. His campaign will be for all of us.

It is not only the revival of the great America during his 4 years, but much better and powerful in the days ahead. He never had a promise broken, and I trust this will be much more important than his first term.

It is all about serving the people of America, and putting America first on top of the world. We will be proud again, in the world stage. He had proven his effective world leadership and I trust him for that. The world respected the US and all of us .

He did not mention any negatives about a political opponents. That was great and I think he learned thru many messages we've reminded him.

Yet he has to undergo this primary. Because his prior performance was most effective within and worldwide, I will continue to trust him, and be the best president for this country.

I also like Ron D'Santis, but he has lots of chances to be president after Donald Trump. He will have 8 years to be at the WH. Florida needs Gov. D'Santis, and I think it's better for him to stay there. It is a very important state, and the LIBS are trying to take it away from the GOP. Gov. Ron will protect Florida.

Sorry, in starting this topic, I wasn't looking for more political discussions about who's the champion leaders,
so I direct your attention back to America's greatest athlete.

Who was this guy that rallied the American people when they really needed it?
Who was this champion who brought the American people some hope and confidence in their future?
Keep in mind, he was an athlete, not a politician, and when the games began,
his fans set attendance records, as high as 70,000.

The purpose of this thread is to introduce a positive and very uplifting subject into an otherwise depressing range of topics - about death, destruction, fear, disease, crime, politics, racism, conspiracy theories, all under an overwhelming blanket of hate.

There is a reason I'm not revealing his name. Just yet.

That was very impressive Blade. I've always trusted your judgement, opinion, since the beginning. I had nothing controversial against the subject matter you wanted to present. And who would that be? And certainly with all due respect, and those great credentials, I'll be happy to know that.

When I think of great athletes Jim Thorpe comes to mind but I know its not him.

Red Grange? The ‘Galloping Ghost’? I don’t know what he did after his career which was cut short by injury but he had some amazing games.

PS: I just turned on the TV this morning. I saw Ron D"Santis blaming Donald Trump as the cause of the GOP defeat in the Mid-Term election. This conflict might exacerbate friction and battlefield. If this happens I will no longer get involved on this political struggles. It is stressful. I wonder what solution is needed.

The GOP has never been united. Mitch McConnel is another problem. He attacks fellow GOP's. Only interested on his personal ambitions.
So many at the GOP's are hurting each other. It is disgusting!.

I see, so you are going to ignore my humble request to focus on a truly great American athlete and continue with the political brouhaha in the GOP.

There are plenty of threads for such discussion, it is not necessary to hijack this thread with a political fist fight.

The athlete of whom I speak had no enemies, not in the media, not in the government, and especially not in the American people. As I said, everyone loved him. He was the epitome of a superstar.

You could say, for a couple years, this champion made America great again.

Apparently that idea is verboten.

I am not ignoring you Blade. God knows it, cause I am praying. I have been faithful to all your examples following all the high morals and virtues you set as a role model, where I learned so much.

This political strife has embedded in me for the last 14 years, due to the fact that I have been witnessing so many wrongs going on that motivated me to get involved.

Now, it is getting so stressful, my conscience tells me to slowly lose my grip from it. The Lord will illuminate my conscience to see the route where I am going.

All this years, I've known your wisdom, and shining examples of how life should be. I am anxiously waiting for this great champion who made America great again! May God lead us there!

Rose, I have a feeling, I think I know who would that be. But I can't say it now, I might be wrong. But "hope springs eternal"!

The greatest natural athelete that I had the pleasure of hanging out with was Bo Jackson... He turned himself around from being a bully in school to a really great guy and role model.

Bo could do it all... Even with sitting on his helmet:
