The city’s policy stated that the flagpole was open to all organizations. Between 2005-2017, the city approved 284 flag raisings with no denials. However, in 2017, Shurtleff’s group was denied its request to fly the flag on Constitution Day and Citizenship Day because it was a Christian flag.

There is however
Separation of Church And State.
Why is this an important decision ?
Neither Days are religious holidays.
If they absolutely need to run a flag up the pike ,
They should bring their own next time.
Our flag defends all religion .
It is not limited to one religion.

American Vet, There is no war on Christianity. This action is going back to the idea of a wall between Church and state. The same action would have happened if the group trying to raise the flag were Jewish, Muslim or any other religion. In this blessed nation we all have freedom of religion. The government should have nothing to do with any religion. This will guarantee that we all can practice whatever religion we believe in, or none at all, the way Thomas Jefferson intended for the country.

First - the courts disagree with you. But I am sure you will contend you are smarter than they are.

Second - You make an assertion with absolutely no evidence/data/proof. Until you present that, I will simply assume you are a liar.

Before you get your knickers twisted, this is the other side of the story. When the city of Boston lost the supreme court case about refusing to fly the Christian flag, because of it supporting religion, a Satanist religious group asked the city to fly their flag. So Boston just stopped all requests from groups to fly flags. The daily wire is far right, and rated as mixed for truthfullness.

Exactly, how would this christian group feel about a muslim flag being flown? I can assure you they would freak out, which makes the case about the appropriateness of a christian flag being represented at city level.

There is no 'other side to the story'. They lost the case because they were targeting the Christian flag.

Between 2005 and 2017, the city approved 284 consecutive applications from private organizations to fly flags, with no denials, before it rejected Shurtleff’s proposal, Liberty Counsel said.

It is noted in every history book.
Except the ones presently being printed by
Huckabee.
The Supreme Court is a tragedy ,
The flaws we have in our systems needs to be identified.

Constitutional Law 101: There is no Constitutional statement of separation of church and state.

Thé usage of the phrase is based on a letter Thomas Jefferson wrote.
